The Salutation is a Grade I Listed Building that was designed in the Queen Anne style as a private residence, by Sir Edwin Lutyens in 1912. In more recent times The Salutation was used as a hotel. Rebus was pleased to assist the new owners of the property in securing planning permission to change the use of the, then, vacant hotel back to its original purpose as a private dwelling, together with conversion of several original outbuildings into self-contained holiday lets.
Successfully addressing planning policies relating to retention of tourist accommodation, heritage and flood risk, the permission secured will revive and retain the commercial/tourism function of the Site whilst securing a viable use for this stunning property.
Though the presentation of a robust planning strategy, Rebus secured planning permission for the sensitive conversion and extension of this former Methodist Church in the rural village West Langdon.

After years of trying to purchase the Grade II Listed Forge located immediately adjoining their property, our clients sought our advice prior to embarking upon an ambitious programme of re-building, re-modelling and extension work to this dilapidated, but beautiful, historic building.
